Welcome to Samaná! In the northeast of the Dominican Republic lies one of the most beautiful provinces in the entire country.
Your trip to Punta Cana should always include a visit to the incredible city of Santa Barbara de Samaná. The town of Samaná is located in the north of the Dominican Republic, in the bay of Samaná, and stands out for the turquoise blue and crystal-clear water of its beaches next to palm trees and jungle, which almost invade the beach to the shore, being the perfect place for a day of adventure.
Samaná is one of the 32 provinces that make up the Dominican Republic, and one of the most impressive for travelers due to its landscapes. Being a peninsula, it is surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, bordering to the west with the provinces of Monte Plata, María Trinidad Sánchez and Duarte.

Schedules
- 06:50 a.m. – Pick up from your hotel to the meeting point. Please note that the departure time can always vary depending on the hotel you are staying at.
- 07:50 a.m. – Departure from the meeting point by bus. Make yourself comfortable as the trip takes more than 1 hour.
- 09:50 a.m. – After a small breakfast, we board a catamaran from the port of Cañita (Sabaná de la Mar) heading to Samaná Bay. This trip takes a little over 30 minutes.
- 10:30 a.m. – Arrival at the port of the city of Samaná, where we will board our safari truck to enjoy all the secrets of this province. We will head towards the mountain where we will make a stop at a typical Dominican house. Here we will be able to see how products such as coffee, cocoa, chocolate, mama juana and tobacco are made.
- We continue our route up the mountain to reach "El Rancho" where we get on horseback to cross the forest towards Cascada el Limón. Here, we will enjoy a spectacular setting and we will be able to bathe in its waters.
- Next, we will get on our horses and head to "El Rancho". From here we will head in our safari truck to the restaurant for a typical Dominican buffet lunch.
- Once we have had lunch, we board our catamaran that will take us to enjoy a spectacular landscape. We will arrive at Bacardi Island or Cayo Levantado, a place that will leave you speechless. We will be here for more than an hour so that we can contemplate the beauty of this place.
- 5:00 p.m. – End of the excursion. We will return to your hotel or resort in our transportation.
